Paris Basis Anniversary Celebration held on Y-Café Talk Show on Saturday August 22, 2020 at the YMCA Mobile Studio
The World YMCA marks the 165th anniversary of the endorsement of the Paris Basis. On August 22, 1855, representatives from the nine Young Men’s Christians Associations of the time signed the “Paris Basis”, the document which remains the guiding light of the global YMCA Movement to this day.
YMCA of Lagos celebrated in a unique way with a Live Talk Show where audience can phone in to contribute or ask question.

The Secretary General of the World Alliance joined the Facebook discussion. He tried to join on zoom meeting application but the meeting ended before he could join. We also had the Vice President of Delhi YMCA who joined via facebook.
Our analytics shows that we had a good number of people who tried to join via zoom but due to network issues, they were unable to come online.
The Zoom Application recorded 27 people who viewed the conversation online and contributions were made appropriately at different points of the conversation.
One of the Zoom participants asked a question on zoom chat if she can bring her Muslim friend to join the Association and it was well attended to.
